Course structure
The course is divided into two semesters, commencing with an intense first week that introduces the students to the topics that will be explored throughout the period of study. Advanced modules focus on the wide range of approaches to and issues involved with sustainable interaction within the textile industry. Various elements in connection to these topics will be instructed in short, hands-on workshops. In addition, the course 'Professional Practise' and various guest lecturers and guest critics imbue the curriculum with the insights of real practicing professionals.
The second semester - the master phase - is devoted to the individual students' final major projects. Developed in cooperation with various companies and cooperatives worldwide, the students work with companies, both in Germany and abroad, attaining important personal and professional experience. The year results in the awarding of "Master of Arts" qualification, with a total of 60 credit points awarded.
