The Fashion Summit invited attendees to take a step beyond – a step beyond the usual and the traditional – a step beyond what has gone before in the field of sustainable fashion.

When we talk about ‘sustainable fashion’, we are talking about organic materials produced leaving a low carbon footprint and under fair and decent working conditions; production practices that minimise negative impact on the environment and maximise positive impact on people along the way. Sustainable fashion is quickly becoming common practice, with innovative ways of working being implemented in all corners of the fashion industry to a far greater extent than just improving production conditions. Under a banner of fairness, transparency and authenticity, new products are emerging that are produced under strict regulations and that feature unique qualities and aesthetics.
With the BEYOND FASHION SUMMIT, ESMOD went beyond conventional conference formats, both in terms of content and presentation technology. The BEYOND FASHION SUMMIT became a platform for the exchange of experiences between participants and speakers from a variety of fields, bringing ethics and aesthetics together.
