London Graduate Fashion week 2013

ESMOD Berlin International University of Art for Fashion is excited to announce its participation at the prestigious Graduate Fashion Week (GFW) held in Earls Court 2, London.

Hempel Award 2013

Christina Sieber, one of our third year students, was nominated for Hempel Award in Beijing, China to compete against other international talents with her creative designs. The sportiv creations of Christina convinced the jury and she was able to take home the Silver Award. The award includes 15000 CNY, or approx. 2000€, and the flight to and from Beijing, as well as a week of sightseeing. Congratulations!

Shenkar College Collaboration

We are looking forward to a creative, cultural exchange with the students of Shenkar College in Tel Aviv. In this project, the students from Israel and Germany are creating sustainable designs in close collaboration. The students from Tel Aviv will visit us mid-may, and our students will visit Tel Aviv in exchange.

Dawanda Workshop

In a collaboration with DaWanda, our second-year students will present a special collection: “Vintage Couture Redesigned” is the theme under which vintage dresses are being redesigned into Wedding dresses, ensembles for bridesmaids and attire for wedding guests. The collection will later be available online in the DaWanda Snuggery.

ESPRIT Workshop 2013

In close collaboration with Esprit, the students of the second year gain insights into the workshop of the industry. With fabrics sponsored by Esprit, the students are now realizing one of their five proposed designs. The winners of the workshops will be announced by mid-April.

M.A. Graduate Exhibition 2013

ESMOD Berlin is pleased to be invited by the Goethe Institut Paris and the German Embassy Paris to present the graduate projects from our exciting new Masters Programme – Sustainability in Fashion, at an exhibition during Paris Fashion Week in September 2013.
